Day 1 - Arrival

The long wait has finally come to an end! We took the train to Frankfurt Airport early in the morning. After a short shock at the security check (positive explosive test on Ine's backpack) and a bottle of wine, we boarded the plane towards Singapore.

We spent the 13 hour flight mainly watching films, sleeping and eating. In Singapore we took the train to the terminal so that we could complete the next 7 hour flight to Cairns.

A mere 28 hours after locking up the apartment in Nuremberg, we entered our hostel in Cairns. We did some quick shopping, had a snack and went to bed to get rid of the jet lag. That was the plan if our French roommates hadn't robbed us of sleep at 3 a.m. with meaningless chatter.
