Successful start 😃 Hamburg for the first time

已發表: 28.04.2019

We had a great start to our journey. We had such a nice company until Basel that made sure we really got on the ICE to Hamburg ;-)

In Hamburg, we had summer weather up to 27 degrees and so we started with a harbor tour.

Among other things, we saw the container ship Marco Polo, which was commissioned in 2012 and has a capacity of 160,020 spaces for 20-foot containers. There are larger ships, but it was impressive to be a little nutshell in front of this ship.

The Köhlbrand Bridge from 1974 has a clearance height of 53 meters. This no longer meets today's requirements, so there is currently discussion about a replacement in the form of a new bridge or a tunnel.

A new impressive landmark of Hamburg is the Elbphilharmonie, the concert hall completed in 2016.

The Hamburger Speicherstadt is the largest historic warehouse complex in the world and has been under monument protection since 1991.

Hopefully on our further journey we will also see the original in New Orleans 😃

The landmark of Hamburg "Michel" is the most famous church building in Hamburg and is considered the most important baroque church in northern Germany.

Our visit to the Miniatur Wunderland was of course a great experience for us 😃
