After a small breakfast, we set off for Preikestolen. After about 1.5 hours and an exciting drive through the mountains and many long tunnels, we arrived at the World Heritage Site. In the car park, a friendly staff member from the tourist station advised us to use ice spikes. The 4 km hike was demanding, and the snow chains for our shoes were invaluable. After 1.5 hours, we reached the summit. Unfortunately, the pictures don't show much of the incredible view of the fjord. The weather changed during the ascent and there was occasionally light snowfall. Nevertheless, it was incredibly beautiful and worth the difficult climb. Bolle was with us, but Chillar preferred to stay in the motorhome 😂
Then we quickly found a nice spot in the valley for the night and enjoyed the sunset. Tomorrow we will continue to Bergen.
