Christmas and New Year at the School for Life

Hello and a happy new year to everyone!

I am aware that my first entry in 2020 is very late, but a lot has happened to me recently.

Christmas at the School for Life was a completely new experience for me and very interesting to witness.

We started the celebration on the evening of the 24th with singing together, and afterwards, everyone could sit and eat together around the campfire.

However, the real celebration took place on December 25th.

All of us volunteers had to perform something, and afterwards, gifts were given, raffled, and won.

The children all received new school supplies, stuffed animals, candies, and a little money.

Afterwards, we all had lunch together and celebrated Christmas with a special lunch. Immediately after that, everything slowly dissolved, the children prepared to leave school until next year, and a big cleanup operation started at the school.

We volunteers sat with the teachers until the evening, drank, and ate together.

Eventually, everything dissolved, and everyone started their vacation.

After that, I traveled to Chiang Mai with another volunteer and spent my days there over New Year.

I took the opportunity to visit the Chiang Mai Lake again and explore the national park around Doi Suthep.
