Wow, what a day! Today we did the amazing 'Tagon Coastal Walk' in Cape Arid National Park. It starts right below our campsite at the mouth of the Thomas River into Yokinup Bay and follows the coast all the way to Kennedy Beach. The trail is unexpectedly diverse. During the 6 hours we are on the road, we visit 5 different beaches, watch giant turquoise waves crashing, cross numerous rocks, and enjoy a variety of colorful plants. However, the wildlife is not comparable to Victoria or even Tasmania. We find some emu tracks in the sand, but don't get to see the birds. Fortunately, we do encounter a goanna. The trail is really fun. The pictures speak for themselves.
Tonight, we are the only guests at our campsite and we enjoy the magnificent starry sky after a hearty dinner. On one side, the crescent moon, on the other, the Milky Way.
What a successful day of vacation!
