Langkawi

And off we went to Langkawi after a few days by 🚤 boat. It was a speedboat again, but this time the waves were okay, unlike last year when everyone got off the boat looking green.

Arriving in Langkawi, we ordered a taxi 🚖 through Grab, a popular taxi app in the Asian region. You download the app, say where you want to go, get a price, and the driver usually arrives in a few minutes. The driver also knows where you want to go right away.

On the way to our homestay, we ended up in the middle of nowhere and thought that we wouldn't be able to go anywhere from there. But it turned out that we had quite a few things nearby. However, you can also get around very well with Grab Taxi 🚕 here, and the prices are of course very moderate. We immediately liked our accommodation, spacious room, outdoor area with hammock and sofa, and outdoor kitchen.

On our first day, our landlord took us for a little ride and showed us around. Then we walked around on our own and gathered some information about what you can do here. Yesterday, we went to the suspension bridge. We took the cable car 🚠 up and then walked about 140 steps to the suspension bridge and, of course, across the bridge. Fascinating view from up there... Since the sea is not so impressive here, we spontaneously decided to make a detour to Ko Lipe Island in Thailand, which is only 1.5 hours away by boat 🚤 from here... Today is a chill and writing day.
