Once again climbing outdoors (78 days until the world trip)

Chop etilgan: 24.06.2019

To use up our vacation days (finally vacation, we were missing that ;-) ) and to make good use of them, we went to Dresden for three days.

Of course, we chose the time when it was already around 30°C warm/hot in the East, but hey, for Jonas it's just the beginning of his comfort zone^^

Although it was nice and cozy in the apartment, we still went out, this time to the 'Nonne' and then to Liebethal, where we were already in April.

In between, we treated ourselves to a quiet day at a forest swimming pool, without a camera :p :D

The way to the 'Nonne' was not long and it was really nice to have some shade and cooling with the trees and the forest :) Janni first presented the routes and then Jonas followed. As a 'disassembly pro', I went last. It's always something different when you switch from the climbing hall to real rock, especially because I don't get the holds served on a silver platter, but have to search for them :O ;-)

Nevertheless or precisely because of that, outdoor climbing always has a very special appeal. Jonas felt even fitter than in April and I at least had my first 'chimney experience'. Perhaps the biggest thrill was that I skillfully looped the dismantled slings in such a way that I strangled myself. Really clever^^

Jonas had no problems in the chimney - one could suspect a relationship with Santa Claus ;-)

In addition, the surroundings were also more exciting, as Christian can now walk and you are always well entertained :)

The second climbing session was, as I said, sport climbing in Liebethal. When we got out of the car, everyone groaned because of the humidity, except Jonas, who was happy. 'It's like in Thailand. It's great.' ... I won't comment on that^^

Since Janni was the baby caretaker, Jonas was the first to climb this time. Even though you are quite nervous when you climb first, he enjoyed it even more than usual. And well, we got sweaty just watching :D

I found the first route really difficult and can't imagine at all how you can have the courage and security to lead it at all, but okay - at least we all finished the routes. [with or without elevator * g*]

Overall, we had a great time again and we have already decided that we have to somehow squeeze the climbing shoes into our world trip backpacks, because we don't want to do without them for a whole year and there will certainly be great opportunities along the way! :)
