02/08/16 | Day 10 | Shopping and Acai

There are many, many shopping malls in Salvador! But also many supermarkets. So if you're looking for something, you can actually find it everywhere. Actually... because some things are a bit harder to find than you think. Nevertheless, you can get along well here and arrange yourself well with the things that are offered. In comparison to German prices for some products, it can be said that some things are cheaper but also many things are approaching German prices due to the constantly changing exchange rate. As a rule of thumb, you can usually assume: 1€ = 3.5 Reais.

But now onto another topic: Shopping Barra.

This shopping mall is the closest to us, where we usually go to look for things or go to the cinema. It also offers many restaurants, so you can also indulge a little. There I also tried the Acai ice cream. Acai is a widely spread fruit in Brazil, but it is processed differently everywhere. For example, you can make a kind of puree from the fruit and eat it with fish.

First taste: Very refreshing! You can eat it sometimes, but you don't always have to. It also has a very unique taste, so you should try it yourself ;)
