New Zealand - Day 10 - Te Puia + Skydive + New Year's Eve

Today we went from Rotorua to Taupo (New Zealand's largest lake). On the way there, we stopped at Te Puia. A park with geysers, mud pools, etc. The geyser was a constantly spraying one compared to Iceland. In a hot spring, eggs were then cooked in a small bag for the whole group.

And then we went to the absolute highlight of the day and the grand finale of 2016. Skydive.

We took a small propeller plane to 12,000ft and then, as a tandem jump, we free fell towards the Earth (about 40 seconds). Absolutely amazing :-D highly recommended. Unfortunately, there are no pictures from the air as they would have cost at least €100 and it wasn't worth it to us.

Upon arriving in Taupo, we went shopping vigorously for New Year's Eve and then celebrated. At 12 o'clock, there was an awesome fireworks display by the lake.....
