Ship here we come…

It left on time and we were also lucky with the outward journey; everything was quiet here.
Once you arrive in Kiel, first go to the car park, park your car and take the transfer bus towards the harbour.
When we arrived at the port area it started to rain right on time.
When we sat in the bus and saw the AIDA, it was amazing. The kids couldn't believe that the ship was so big. Since we still had a few minutes before check-in, we walked back into Kiel and tried a few coffee specialties in a small café.
Fux was wondering how the check-in works, it's like at the airport. He just doesn't listen when I say something.
After checking in and receiving our boarding passes, we went on board the ship. Phew, it's big on the inside too.
We looked for our cabins, which were already available, and then explored the ship and had our first meal.

We'll get lost on this ship, that's for sure, because everything is so huge. We quickly got through the safety briefing, which is now very simple. But you had to wear a life jacket when you arrive at the muster station.
At 6 p.m. it was time to cast off and sail away. I'm usually very emotional about things like this, but I couldn't really get into the mood because there was hardly anyone outside (also because of the weather).

We had dinner in an Italian restaurant and it was delicious.
