May 23rd/Day 54: Pontempeyrat - Le Cros

One day before Le Puy. 28 km only through nature, a decommissioned railway line and for the first time no church, no village and no shop.

In the morning, Monique took me to the starting point again. A pilgrim wrote in the guest book: she is a blessing for pilgrims. I can confirm that!

During the day, I'm walking with the French again, at lunchtime I meet Marcel at a "yellow vest alternative". Due to a lack of alternatives for food, we strengthen ourselves with Scotch whisky and cola.
