We got up just before 7 am on this day because a tour of the famous Blue Mountains near Sydney was planned for Wednesday. After breakfast, our extremely friendly and sympathetic tour guide named John picked us up and told us some side facts as we drove through the city. After a not-too-long car ride, we arrived at our first destination of the day, a small zoo. There, we saw various animals, from koalas and little penguins to little pigs and kangaroos. After another car ride, the actual tour of the Blue Mountains began. It was quite exhausting, especially because of the heat, and everyone was thankful for the delicious sandwiches that John got for us. However, the hiking was rewarded with breathtaking views that you don't see every day. After the tour, we had a short time to freshen up, and then we went to Vapiano for dinner. The rest of the evening was free time, during which we could explore Sydney at night.
