With the long-tail boat and ten other tourists, we set off to Koh Jum and already during the crossing I was filled with satisfaction and happiness. With hand, foot and broken English (on both sides), the Thai person working on the boat and I tried to communicate... this was made more difficult by the loud engine noise of the long-tail boat. Therefore, after a few attempts, we limited ourselves to smoking cigarettes rolled with dried palm leaves and looking at the sea. Arriving at the island's pier, the other tourists started exchanging information about which part of the island, North or South, they were staying at, and some were already being awaited by taxis and tuk-tuks. In this regard, once again, I had no clue, but luckily, Bila, the man from the boat, offered to take me to the bungalow resort where I had booked for one night. And so, the big backpack was strapped onto the small moped and I was already zooming around the island with the Thai person. Upon arriving at the bungalow, which I shared with two geckos, I felt like I was in absolute paradise and I spent the first few days mainly on the beach collecting seashells, swimming, sunbathing, reading, painting, and of course exploring the island mainly on foot or by bicycle.
