Today we took a trip to Karls Adventure Village in Zirkow. We have been there on every vacation so far and have been able to follow its development.
The strawberry farm was founded in 1921 by Karl Dahl, but at that time it was just a simple fruit and vegetable store. It is now run by the third generation and includes seven adventure farms.
On the premises in Zirkow, there is a large trade hall with all sorts of delicacies and trinkets to buy. The courtyard kitchen with a variety of dishes is located in the building decorated with coffee pots. In the outdoor area, you will find numerous attractions for young and old. Whether it's the tractor track, pancake slinger, or potato sack slide - there is something for everyone here. At the children's farm, you can admire guinea pigs, goats, and pot-bellied pigs. A highlight is the corn maze where you have to solve puzzles to find your way out.
Everything seems very harmonious and lovingly designed. The selection of fun and games is very large and you can easily spend a whole day at Karls Adventure Village. Admission is generally free, but you have to pay for some attractions. The prices for dining and souvenirs or groceries to take home are high. A family with children can spend a lot of money at the strawberry farm, especially if the children want to try out many activities.
We hardly buy anything there anymore. Over the years, the farm has lost some of its charm. It has become larger and the number of visitors has increased. If the weather is halfway decent, you can hardly move in the sales hall. I think we have seen enough and bought similar souvenirs over and over again. But when Bruno is older and can use the play facilities, we will also be happy to go there again.
For children, the selection of experiences is really great and a trip to the strawberry farm is definitely worth it, but you should take a close look at the prices, especially for dining. A day pass that allows you to participate in all attractions may be worthwhile.
