Hello Canada

Our next destination is called Canada. We will visit some national parks in Western Canada and the Rocky Mountains.

We landed in Vancouver. We spent the first few days in the city. We walked through the huge Stanley Park on foot.

Beaver Lake

We continued by car to the ferry to Vancouver Island. We spent our first night on the island at Sproat Lake Campground.

Then we went to Pacific Rim National Park. All food must be stored safely as we are in the home of bears, wolves, and cougars.

West Pacific Trail.

As is customary in Canada, we also made campfires.

Elk Falls in Strathcona Provincial Park.

Fireworks for Canada Day (150 years of Canada) in Campbell River.

We spontaneously decided to hike the Elk River Trail and camp there.

The trail led us along the river through the forest.

We set up our camp here.

Here too, food must be stored safely from bears.

Then we continued without luggage to the waterfall.

Short stop in Nanaimo. Here we tried the local specialty - Nanaimo Bar.

In Juan de Fuca Provincial Park.

Now we continue towards the Rocky Mountains...
