Day 8: Arrival on Koh Tao

After breakfast, it was time for us to pack up as we were continuing our journey to Koh Tao today. While we waited to be picked up, we relaxed on the beach in the hammocks. We arrived at the pier on time, had our tickets, and just waited for the boat. It was scheduled to depart at 1:30 PM, but there was no sign of the boat anywhere. About 45 minutes later, it finally arrived and we set off. We had a 1.5-hour journey ahead of us. As we were in the middle of the open sea, the waves got bigger and the boat started swaying quite a bit. I had to focus on a point on the horizon to avoid getting dizzy. When we arrived at the pier, there were plenty of taxi drivers waiting, trying to convince everyone to take their taxi. After negotiating a good price, we were taken to our hotel.

Our accommodation on Koh Tao is the AC2 Resort, which is located right on Sairee Beach, and I have to say, after walking along the beach promenade upon arrival, ours is one of the most beautiful here. The room is really spacious. The air conditioning works perfectly. There are plenty of storage areas and the shower even has a rain shower head.
