A beautiful day comes to an end. The stage leads me along the eastern shore of Lake Vättern from the southern tip to Vadstena. The complete lake has a north-south extent of 135 km with a very varied route. Partly along the shore, partly idyllic and hilly inland.
After about 45 km, with pleasant tailwind, I reach the beautiful wooden town of Gränna.
The town is best known for its numerous candy shops. So, some stores have a good selection of sweets.
About twenty kilometers before Vadstena, I visit the ruins of the Alvastra Monastery.
Before Vadstena, I then turn off to Lukerstad Gãsthus, a B&B that we already discovered in 2014.
In the evening, I have a glass of wine with Arne, AnCharlotte's husband (she is in Stockholm) - with dedication, because it is so expensive in Sweden. But we have a great conversation, and so a beautiful day comes to an end.
