Sunday in Montreal. Breakfast, of course, then Jan-Jan had the idea to visit a shooting range and shoot -legally in this country- at cardboard targets. We found something, outside of Montreal, nicely located in the forest. As soon as we got out, we could hear the gunfire around us at various shooting ranges. Clay pigeons, small caliber 9mm, up to the big guys that put quite a pressure on the eardrums, like a Polish firecracker.
Unfortunately, everything was fully booked here, the disappointment was evident in Jan-Jan and Jacob. But it didn't last long, because after we were back on the road with tinnitus, we discovered a snow-covered golf driving range and spontaneously decided to hit a few balls. And here comes the funniest part of this trip so far! Jan-Jan had never done it before, Jacob had some experience. I don't want to give too much away here in writing. Sit back and enjoy the following 2 videos before continuing to read.
Sensational how you can consistently NOT hit the ball.
I brought together. :-)
In the end, Jan-Jan actually managed to hit the ball in such a way that it briefly lifted and landed back ON the tee. Unbelievable. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't running, but we all saw it.
Curious: In the middle, a few deer crossed the driving range at 150 meters. Of course, we interrupted the shots.
With laugh lines between both ears, we continued through the country, it's beautiful here. Perfect weather, blue sky, double-digit temperatures.
Of course, sports make you hungry, so we went back to the beer market. Pictures say more than words here too. Amazing! Jacob ordered our Wagyu burger from the previous day, the 3 of us each ordered a 5-appetizer plate, which was served on an XXL board due to lack of space.
Feeling stuffed, we went to the hotel, packed our bags, etc. Tomorrow, we have a 5000 km journey across Canada ahead of us. It's going to be a sporty one.
Stay tuned.
