Today we had a quiet day: slept in, had a long breakfast and then drove just 3 km to the center of Adare.
Adare is said to be the “most beautiful town in Ireland”. It is actually a very pretty little town, with colorful houses and thatched cottages alternating. A beautiful park and a huge old church complete the picture.
However, the main thoroughfare runs through the middle and there are huge trucks and many, many cars driving bumper to bumper. A lot of noise, exhaust gases, unfortunately that doesn't necessarily make Adare prettier, and after 1.5 hours and a not very tasty soft ice cream (for 4 € 😳, I'm not complaining about the ice cream prices in Germany anymore), we were through and are returned to the campsite.
There we sat comfortably in front of the mobile home for the rest of the day. I finally started a new book (“The Trip” by Arno Strobel 😬 - I hope I can sleep tonight 😂) and in the evening there were delicious wok vegetables on the camping stove 😋
