Tongariro Northern Circuit

The Tongariro Northern Circuit is a multi-day hike in Tongariro National Park (New Zealand's oldest national park).

Day 1 

Whakapapa Village - Mangatepopo

We started our hike on a sunny day to circle around Mount Ngauruhoe (known as Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings).

Day 3

Oturere - Whakapapa Village

We headed from Oturere to Waihohonu. This was supposed to be our next overnight stop. To avoid the continuous rain on the fourth day, we hiked all the way to Whakapapa instead.
