Wellington - Auckland: By car transfer to the north

In Wellington, we were able to stay with acquaintances of my host family from Canada. That was just great! And the hospitality of the New Zealanders is indescribable! For months, we slept in a bed again, were served dinner, and even received New Zealand chocolate as a travel snack. Really amazing!

Then we continued north, because Pichler is soon on the way to us!

For a $2 fee and approximately $26 in gas money (about €16), we spent 2 and a half days traveling by car from Wellington to Auckland.

This is called 'car relocation' here.

Really a great deal, and we saved ourselves a lot of effort!

Traveling by car is quite practical. Many things are easier - but on the first day, it was clear to us that we already missed cycling again!

Upon arriving in Auckland, we stayed at a campsite near the airport for a few days..
