never experienced such heat before

My stay in Motz is entering the next round.

The original plan was for me to stay here until the end of June and then move to a new host in Burgundy. I decided to cancel Burgundy because I really like it here and my hosts are great.

That was the joke of the last few weeks when guests were here for Aperol and the WWOOFer suddenly wanted to stay for another month.

As long as I can contribute to the entertainment of the group, that's great.

There's not much special happening here. Most of the day is spent weeding, planting new stuff, or watering.

And of course, I can't forget about my divas, the chickens. Opening the coop in the morning, filling up their water, feeding them every few days, collecting eggs, and closing the coop in the evening. Most mornings, I spend a few extra minutes chilling with my 55 ladies.

On a hot day, we went to Chanaz. A small, pretty village that is overrun by tourists. But at least we made some use of the hot day.

Chanaz. The bridge looks more spectacular than it actually is

Since temperatures here reached around 43°C, it was impossible to work in the garden after 11/12 o'clock. Currently, it's 'only' around 30°C. That means waking up at 6 in the morning and working until 12, and then do some more work in the evening starting from 8.
It's hard to believe that the week before there were constant storms and rain. We just sat outside and enjoyed the 'view' of the storm front with a glass of eggnog.

Enjoying the storm to the fullest

Let's see if it gets a bit cooler in the coming weeks, because all the plants need to be watered constantly, otherwise they'll completely wither.
