Ship ahoy

ئېلان قىلىندى: 13.10.2019

At the port in Genoa we can already feel some Moroccan flair. We see all the heavily loaded cars with the most interesting roof loads, and we could already buy pretty scarves if we wanted to. When the loading of the ferry begins, most of the drivers are missing in the vehicles.
A police officer who sees that we have the children sitting on our lap while boarding the ferry suddenly becomes embarrassing Swiss (he doesn't think we are) and asks us to put the children on the back seat.
On the ferry, the children would prefer to spend the whole day in the playroom. After all, we manage to go out to the fresh salty air in between to count ships on the horizon.
At 7 p.m., we stand in front of the restaurant that is now supposed to open, with our stomachs growling - not alone - but when 45 minutes later we are still standing in front of closed doors, we are relieved that we can feed our two little tigers the pre-cooked pasta in the cabin.
After a stopover in the chic port of Barcelona (and insane cruise ships with huge slides and high rope gardens on the top, around 27th floor), Martin's sighting of jumping dolphins and without stamps in our passports, we reach Tanger Med after 50 hours. It is hectic when we rush out of the ferry. Then we still get a stamp at the port (apparently these formalities are already taken care of on the ferry), we only wait 1.5 hours at customs (I was afraid of 8 hours), and then we are there!
