The first stage

Our first destination is Sydney. The decision was made quickly, but choosing the route was a bit more difficult! We gave up the original plan to make a stopover in Bangkok, as flights from there to Down Under are apparently very popular....so on the 17th of January we set off towards Doha. One pleasant side effect is the bar located in the A380 of Qatar in the upper deck! However, you have to hurry quite a bit during the 6-hour flight to take a cool drink at the bar in between meals, drinks, and movies. Well...we were quite successful 😏....

We have a 2-hour transit in Dona, before continuing to Perth....if we make it, that is. So, we hurried through security and looked for the gate. While the doll made herself comfortable there, I went to the transfer desk to see how the plane looks like. Luck is with the diligent....or something like that...we get boarding passes right away and can make ourselves comfortable in the business class for the next 11 hours.

However, there is already a loss to mourn on the journey! Rüdi's watch seems to have been left behind at the transit security check....poor thing. Unfortunately, we don't have time to go back. Couldn't we have noticed half an hour earlier?!? The glass of champagne before takeoff is a bit of consolation!
