Every beginning

For days, we have been experiencing temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. We, that is, my wife, son, and myself, have been getting on each other's nerves for quite some time due to the pandemic. Fortunately, we live in a house that offers each of us some retreat. Otherwise..........

Well, this situation now led to each family member feeling the desire to escape, and therefore considering solo vacations. My wife soon put these thoughts into action. She booked a 4-day short trip. I found it nice of her to reluctantly let me know her destination via WhatsApp.

Slightly sulking, the idea of a solo vacation also took hold of me as the only option. By the way, my son has also dropped out of a loosely planned motorcycle tour to the Dolomites and is now planning a trip with his friend. Hmm, perhaps it's because of my charming personality?

Anyway, I had already considered doing a motorcycle tour to the North Cape last year. But I discarded the idea due to Corona and the associated travel restrictions throughout Europe. However, since I am biologically inclined towards the end of my life cycle 😉(in 3 years, I'll be 60), it probably can't be postponed indefinitely.

An old saying goes: "And when you think it can't go on anymore, a little light comes from somewhere". And behold, the travel restrictions have been lifted. So now it's time to start planning. Tomorrow, I'll try to schedule a last-minute service appointment for my BMW GS1250 Adventure. If it works out this week, I'll be on tour next week.
