It was a different kind of help day. Usually you just help inside with the food our outside preparing the dogs for a run, which I still did but there were a few special tasks today.

First I needed to get all the meat sausages for the dogs from the 2 freezers in the barn to the freezer in the dog kitchen. It took a while until the barn freezers were completly empty since they are basically refrigerators sized metal boxes.

I just used the dog food wagon to transport the boxes across, which wasn't really made for deep snow travel. Especially loaded with 24 meat sausages. Then unload the sausages into the freezers in the dog kitchen again.

After that I could help with the dogs and had a little break but only until lunch. That's when the real challenge arrived. I proudly told Konstantin that all the sausages were transferred. Then he told me that there was actually another freezer way down by the road.

However, there were actually no more sausages. The freezer itself was supposed to go into the barn with the other 2. Now I really thought he was joking at first. How was I supposed to move a refrigerator down by the street uphill into the barn??

So I just laughed but just to be sure I asked one of the fix workers how the other 2 freezers got into the barn. Andhe told me that they dragged it by hand. So I asked again if he was joking but he was not. So yeah, there was a freezer by the street and it had to go into the barn.

So we begin: The freezer was standing there since summer so it was covered in snow and frozen. We started with shoveling the snow away.

Then we lifted the freezer out from the field unto the street. It actually had wheels on it but they were even less made for the snow, then the dogfood cart.

So driving wasn't really a thing so we moved it step by step, like walking it forward.

We also tried lifting it for a few feet but it got quite heavy quite fast. Then the uphill part came.

This was the second stage of an already pretty bad boss fight. We had put our jackets and everything that was too hot, inside the freezer before we started moving up.

We also had to stop because we kept laughing at how ridiculous the situation was.

Dragging, lifting, pushing whatever it took to get this box of frozen dreams a little bit closer to the barn.

All the dogs and even the other volunteers were just staring at us and laughing.

It took forever to finally get it over the final uphill stretch. Just 20 more meters from the barn. It was at that moment that johannes came around the corner and told us that we did it wrong for the entire time.

He then simply lifted the freezer partially unto his back so that the front wheels were still standing on the ground and dragged it without much effort the rest of the way.

That was funny but also a bit mean.

We finally got it inside the barn and after some stabilizing it had finally found its place next to it's 2 frozen brothers.

That was also like the last thing that I was able to do for today since my arms, legs and back were all hurting very much.
