Hello beautiful foreign world

Good afternoon!!! Long flights suck! But Turkish Airlines provide the best food I have ever had on a plane (including alcohol <3). After an excessively long flight and about 40 min. express train ride, I arrived at Kuala Lumpur Central Station. I actually wanted to walk 3km...but when I somehow found myself on a highway with the pedestrian navigation, I got a little scared :-) Unfortunately, the taxi driver didn't know my hotel and dropped me off right in front of Chinatown, where I wandered around carrying all my stuff. After going through 3 supermarkets and asking about 11 taxi drivers, I finally found my way to the hotel by asking for directions. Incredibly nice & helpful people. The hotel is not luxurious, but it's definitely affordable for the price. Based on multiple recommendations, I looked for the shabbiest street food stalls, where the locals were sitting, and had an amazing meal for €1.25. I quickly bought two beers and a bottle of water from the supermarket and went up to my room. Despite it being nighttime, it is incredibly hot and as you would say, 'humid' :-) I'm doing well! I'm happy! I'm excited for what's to come...over and out!
