Bordeaux

ئېلان قىلىندى: 23.09.2021

On Tuesday, Bordeaux was on the agenda. We got a day ticket for the TRAM at a P + R and drove to the Pont de pierre, which is the oldest stone bridge in Bordeaux. For me, it is the landmark of Bordeaux. The bridge is closed to cars. This is very pleasant, so we could stroll across the bridge in peace and enjoy the view of Bordeaux. Unfortunately, we didn't take out our map and just started walking. Well, we ended up in a neighborhood, how should I put it? Hmmm, let's just say it wasn't the best neighborhood in Bordeaux. We were surprised to find that many students lived in this neighborhood. It was a very mixed neighborhood, with a lot of dirt, garbage, debris, etc. ...and students. The medical university was also adjacent to this neighborhood. We found that very confusing. With the map in hand, we reached all the sights easily and safely. Bordeaux is a fascinating city. There are many old large buildings there, which house well-known fashion brands. It looks very elegant from the outside.

The closer you get to the river, the more typically French cafes and bistros you'll find in the streets. They added to the beautiful atmosphere of the city. We also enjoyed some delicious cakes there :-). I can only say DEATH BY CHOCOLATE ;:-().

We feel like we walked a marathon through Bordeaux. I could no longer go on at the end and just wanted to take the TRAM back to the accommodation.

Unfortunately, I noticed in Bordeaux that I was coming down with the flu or something similar. This unfortunately turned out to be true and that's why the last report was written 'sick' from home in Germany :-(! I find this very depressing and I am very sad about it!!! Regards, Anke, Daniela, and Littlefoot. She enjoyed her modeling life in the end, but now she prefers to chill in 'HER BED' :-)!
