Switzerland Valais 2016

During my first visit to Valais, I was there in August, which is definitely too hot for hiking. Valais is one of the sunniest regions in Switzerland. That's why I came in September this time - perfect weather for hiking.

We were in the Belalp - Aletsch Glacier - Lötschental area, absolutely stunning. When you reach the top, you'll find beautiful mountain huts with sun terraces and chairs covered in sheepskins...perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. That's much needed because...

There are also nice hiking trails in Simplon, but the vegetation is completely different here. After the hike, we'll drive to Domodossola to explore the Italian mountain region and have pizza.
