Koh Lanta

We spent four nights in a hotel with a pool on Klong Nin Beach. The weather was very changeable. In the morning when we woke up, the sky was cloudless, but by noon the sun was covered with gray clouds. We took the days easy and on the second day rented a scooter and visited the Old Town of Koh Lanta, which consists of a street lined with small shops and restaurants on both sides. The landscape is very beautiful on the tourist beaches, but when we drove past remote places, the accumulated garbage gathered on the street corners, dilapidated huts stood abandoned in the landscape. Children waved at us friendly during our drive, who were running home from school in their pink shirts. Klong Nin Beach is a spacious, clean sandy beach. In the evening, we walked along the beach in the sand and ate directly by the sea by candlelight. In a cozy bar, we met a little boy who played with us for a long time. The children in Thailand are very open and communicative. After just a few minutes, he sat on my lap and tried to communicate with me using his hands and feet. We enjoyed an oil massage and were so impressed that we got another massage the next day. Although the weather wasn't as we had hoped, it was still beautiful days.
