Over all hills

Now the time has come, the direction is north.

The day began again with a magnificent sunrise, a view of Venice and several large ships with bowsers that were all busy coming and going. The Silver Moon (modern cruise ship built in 2020), which is moored right next to us on the quay, does everything it can with constant announcements to bring its guests to their excursions.

As the clouds slowly begin to rise, we are ready to head towards the mountains. From far away we see the snow-covered hills, will we see snow? Even driving through snow?

We tried to find the route with as little toll as possible. The ADAC website was very informative. So we drove straight north and through the Dolomites with beautiful scenery. Of course there were tolls for Brenner and Austria.

In the evening we arrived in Schwangau near Füssen. The desire to compensate for the sharp "drop in temperature" with a visit to a thermal spa and sauna brought us here. We got out and there was a white castle floating in the sky. I looked twice before I realized: it's real and it's not floating, but standing on a mountain. Where did we end up here?!

It's always nice to end up in places without actually wanting to go there and then being amazed at what there is in the world.

We have a delicious dinner in the thermal baths and stay in the quiet Prakplatz for the night so that we can start with the sauna in the morning.
