Horn

Yesterday I fulfilled my first wish. Swim in the North Sea once. So swim properly and not just splash around with your feet. I was quite surprised that it was less cold than expected. Until now I had preferred the Baltic Sea, but that has definitely changed now.

After Aphrodite emerged from the baths again, we drove to Hoorn. Hoorn is located above Amsterdam, on the Markermeer and is a very pretty harbor town. We got the last parking space right in the historic harbor and took a long walk through the town. In the oppressive heat, we had a refreshing drink in the harbor. We then spent the evening at the parking space, with the local youth having a happy drinking party next to us. However, when the port gates closed around 11 p.m., they disappeared and nothing stood in the way of a quiet night.
