Hanoi - Hoan Kiem Lake and Surroundings

The Hoan Kiem Lake in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi always invites for a leisurely walk. It has the ideal size for a not too long but also not too short walk through the park-like area. Around the lake, you can find flowers and at night it is beautifully illuminated and sung by street musicians. The Turtle Island in the middle offers a unique backdrop, as does the temple, to which a bridge in the middle of the lake leads. But there is also so much exciting to discover around the lake. 2 water puppet theaters are located near the lake, as well as the tourist area, where it can be quite noisy and crowded, especially in the evenings. But many streets also strongly resemble Paris, especially with the small cafes where you can enjoy croissants or pain au chocolat. 🥐 🍫
