The four rounds around the block should be enough for now. Then we packed all our luggage on the bikes and headed south. For the start of our tour, we want to ride through the Mekong Delta. As the sun slowly rose, the traffic became busier every minute. When we took a short break on the way, a real estate agent invited us for a coffee. He couldn't speak English, but thanks to Google Translator, we had no problem communicating. After a few more kilometers, we reached My Tho. We checked into our hotel and went on a three-hour boat tour to two islands in the Mekong. There we visited a coconut candy factory and a beekeeping farm. Besides the beekeeping farm, we could also hold a python around our necks. The whole first island was made for tourists, as we were offered free tropical fruits to try and Vietnamese women sang songs directly at our table. At the end of the first island, we were taken along a canal in a rowing boat... The second island consisted of a temple and many restaurants and shops for tourists. We were not really interested in that and tried to have fun on the island and enjoyed the view of the huge wide Mekong River.
After dinner at the hotel, Jan and I watched football... we rarely go to bed early like today, riding a motorcycle is exhausting after all...
