2nd Stop: Ottawa

The capital of Canada was our second stop. On the way we took a short walk to a beaver pond, but unfortunately we were unsuccessful here too and didn't see any beavers. Just a squirrel.

In Ottawa itself we had a nice little Airbnb and on the first evening we went to a local brewery and drank IPA there. The walk through the city was definitely very sweet!😍 On Wednesday we visited government buildings, which were really cool. Then of course we had poutine again and this time a beaver tail (the pastry with chocolate). I only tried the other people's because the whole thing was too sweet for me, but it was definitely delicious 😊 Afterwards we got some European sweets from a "Europe shop" and visited the cathedral here :D Unfortunately Ottawa didn't want to show us its best side and it rained the whole time, so we went home and watched films, ate and played games :) This morning we were very surprised: 10cm of fresh snow and a car with summer tires 🙃 We had actually planned a hike for today, but we had to cancel it yesterday because the hiking trails were closed due to the weather. Plan B (and my preferred plan): go on a "safari" by car and see 10-15 different animals there. Problem: This was also closed today because of the weather😭 So we're moving on for now and we hope that we'll have more luck with the weather in the next few days 🤞🏼

Conclusion Ottawa: cute city that is perfect for a short trip! 🫶🏼

As we left Ottawa we had completed the first 1000km of our road trip 👍🏼
