I don't want to leave here!

A short night, breakfast, then packing. I think Christoph is still laughing that I'm bringing his kite equipment from NZ back with me. I throw my few clothes into the huge sports bag, it's 35kg after all, limit is 30kg. So the old water pump stays in NZ, the hiking boots go in the carry-on luggage (16kg), then it fits. Fortunately, Duncan also takes me to the airport, we say goodbye... After so many wonderful experiences and this wonderful hospitality, it's hard for me to leave again. I really enjoyed New Zealand, friendly people and beautiful scenery tempt you to stay. But at least the return is certain.... A last look at New Zealand's west coast, then the country disappears on the horizon. As much as I was looking forward to it, I'm now sad to say goodbye.

Singapore welcomes me with 30° and drizzle, I pick up my XXL luggage at the special collection and look for a trolley. The luggage storage is quickly found, I'm not dragging this monster through Singapore! I buy a rechargeable chip card for public transportation and rush into the hustle and bustle. The subway system is similar to Paris, different lines with transfer options, the fare is deducted from the card when you exit. The temperature changes are interesting: airport, train, hotel, all air-conditioned to 22°, while it's easily 30° and rainy outside. I booked the Sultan hotel, it suited me well: 'The caravan moves on, the Sultan is thirsty'. The corresponding station is quickly found on the map, and a short walk through the rainy twilight brings me to the hotel. I go to the Dim Sum Place around the corner to eat something local, the only European among 100 locals, it must taste good here. Tomorrow I'll let myself be carried away by the city...
