Tag 2-3: Welcome to France

Day 2-3.

Our first destination in France is Goncourt. A small village in the middle of nowhere in France. The parking space is on a small river and is free. Jackpot. To fortify ourselves, we get our first baguette and go for a short walk. The sun is shining, but it is still cool. It's time we got to the south quickly.

The parking space is used by many motorhome drivers for a break and the locals inspect our equipment very closely. No wonder, next to all the mobile refrigerators our bus looks simply adventurous.

The next day we head deeper into France's vineyard region. Behind Dijon we have a spot all to ourselves with a view of the small town of Nolay. After 2 days of dry weather, the rain catches up with us and we make ourselves comfortable in the bus again.

But when the first rays of sun shine through the clouds again, Chris's sporting spirit calls and he sprints up and down the steep climb next to our parking spot 10 times. Eva and Lore meanwhile only trudge up the climb once, but are rewarded with a nice little forest and a view of the region. At the bottom, Chris gets a quick shower from the cooking pot, while Eva prefers to stay the 4th day without showering and wait for the luxury of a real shower. No problem. The hair grease can also be used as oil for the door hinges. 🫠

In the evening there is a delicious currywurst and then it's off to bed. The next trip takes us towards Clermont-Ferrand.
