20th to 21st December 2017 Te Anou - Doubtful & Milford Sound with Jana and Maja

So many impressions today and already quite tired. We are staying at Pam's farm and have a spacious room so that all 4 of us can fit. The weather is fantastic, couldn't wish for better for the trip to Milford Sound. We spontaneously decided to take a flight with a seaplane over Doubtful Sound around 11:30 (greetings to Katrin and Toddy: we did it ;-)). Ivan, our pilot, explained and showed us many things during the flight, but afterwards we had to piece together many things because the Kiwi slang can be quite pronounced at times.

After about 2.5 hours drive through a breathtaking landscape, we reached Milford Sound. Since it is generally more rainy than sunny here, we took a windy and incredibly impressive boat trip today, which is difficult to capture in photos the incredibly powerful landscape images.

And always: the encounters are always very friendly, attentive and also warm, not superficial or artificial.
