Unlike the past few weeks, breakfast was already provided by the accommodation this morning. Together with our new friend Jake, who was staying at the same accommodation and was also participating in the tour, we were picked up by our guide in the morning.
In the meantime, Colin and I (mainly Colin, as I'm not good at interacting with strangers) had made new friends, who were also part of our travel group, including Jake.
The weather on this day was quite Scottish, which means it was cool, windy, and raining continuously. The rain was not heavy, but rather drizzly, almost like heavy fog or high humidity, but after a while outside, we got quite wet.
Our first stop was a river, where according to legend, a fairy once left a beauty watch. If you hold your head under the water for a short time, you are supposed to gain eternal beauty. The first one to do this was our guide, who is generally fascinated by fairy stories. After that, Colin, Jake, and a few other men started doing it too.
Due to the weather, more indoor activities were planned for the day, which is why the next destination was Dunvegan Castle. When we arrived there, our small group went off and visited the castle and then the beautiful garden.
After we were done with that and with lunch, we unfortunately had to head back. After quickly drying our things, we went with Jake to the village to have dinner there.
The way there took about 40 minutes again, but it was raining continuously and the rain was coming from the side due to the wind, so our pants quickly got wet. Since there was nothing else open or had free seats inside, we went to the pizzeria from the previous evening. We had to wait for about 15-25 minutes until a table was available, but once we had a place, we enjoyed a cozy meal together.
The way back was just as wet and long, but we were already used to it by now and with a beer in hand, the way back was quite relaxed.
