Day 2: Hello Vienna!

We start our day around 9 o'clock in the morning. 

We freshen up and have breakfast at a cafe. The owner doesn't speak English and only knows little German. We communicate and order breakfast with coffee and hot chocolate. Additionally, we have some juice. The owner brings toast and packaged Nutella, jam, and honey. Okay. We think it's quite simple. No problem. Marik is happy with his Nutella sandwich. After finishing the first toast, the owner suddenly brings grilled paninis with tomato and mozzarella, and a triple-decker sandwich with egg, bacon, and lettuce. We are surprised and delighted. With renewed energy, we hitch the caravan again and head towards Vienna. 

We reach Vienna around 1 o'clock. Our campsite is located right by the Danube river.

After settling in, we take the subway to the Prater and meet Grandma Dorle and Grandpa Peter, aka Coffee Machine Grandpa. We ride the giant Ferris wheel and enjoy the view. 

Afterwards, we stroll around the large amusement park. Marik loves everything. He gets to ride the carousel and is especially fascinated by the water attractions. Back at the campsite, we have dinner and try to calm down. Marik in particular has trouble falling asleep after such an eventful day. We hope that it will get better in the next few days.
