Practical Travel Tips

The power outlets here are three-pronged. The regular flat plugs from Europe fit, but the larger ones only with an adapter, which supposedly can be bought everywhere. I haven't seen any so far, but thanks to EBAY, I have two.

I have two reading glasses with me, but one has already kicked the bucket, and there are none on every corner here for $2.99 like back home. Attached is a picture of my backup glasses. Rubber bands and adhesive tape (which I didn't pack) must be included in every travel luggage. It's really astonishing how often you need something like that.

I try to do laundry as often as possible because there's no need to travel with dirty clothes. When hanging it up, you just have to be flexible :-)

On the topic of luggage optimization, I also trimmed the toothbrush (tip from the backpackers) so it fits in the mini toiletry bag and saves a few grams.

And attached is also a picture of the fanny pack, which seems to be the best and safest option for traveling in combination with the neck pouch, the small shoulder bag did not prove reliable (it squeezes and has too much weight) and now serves as a medication bag.
