Bacalar - Lagoon and Centro

The lake is a dream come true: turquoise water and docks with stunning photo opportunities.

The town is not too big, there are a few small cafes and restaurants, the locals live there partly very simply in small huts. Most people are very friendly here, on the street you greet each other with Hola - at the latest then most smile and greet back. There are also many dogs there. One even ran with us for two hours and accompanied us to breakfast. The café owner even thought it was mine because he was lying next to us while eating.

In the evening we went out for the first time since I've been here. My cold is finally gone and we went to a hostel party right on the lake. We drank Corona beer and had a fun evening. :-) Good night
