After leaving the Penn Enez campsite as quickly as possible yesterday morning after an extremely stormy and cold night, I had a coffee and a croissant in Brest. A short city tour did not arouse much enthusiasm for this large port city, but maybe it was just too short. However, I was surprised that there were still so many German tourists there.
The further drive took me to Penmarch, on the southern side of Brittany, which finally made me feel comfortable again. Barely any wind, 26 degrees and beautiful white sandy coves between flat, dark, sharp-edged and towering light rocks. Every turn offers new fantastic sights for the eye, and I constantly want to stop and take a photo. But of course, this natural and atmospheric beauty cannot be captured at all.
By the way, the campsite (Camping Municipal Toul Ar Ster) is absolutely recommendable. Quiet, clean, 200 m to the beach and very cheap compared to others. However, I'm not making any contacts here - surrounded by French retired couples with large RVs. Fortunately, the pitches are very large and the site is not fully booked, as the late season begins tomorrow.
