Ab in die Berge!

Now was the time to say goodbye to the East Coast and embark on our next destination.

To get from the East Coast to the West Coast, you have to go through Arthur's Pass. This was our next goal.

On the way there, the mountains got closer and closer. So we were on the right track. Although we had very bad network, we found our way very well because there was only one road :D

Surrounded by a beautiful landscape, we decided to spend a night at a campsite there. We didn't do any hiking tours, it was too cold and the weather was too unpredictable. That's why we postponed it to the return journey.

At the campsite, we met many nice people who gave us beautiful places and sights.

In the evening, we wanted to see the famous 'Glow Worms'. Unfortunately, we didn't see any. But we had a mega starry sky and thanks to the nice people who showed us how to take great pictures of the stars and Milky Way with our camera, we took some breathtaking pictures. Our pictures didn't turn out as good as theirs but still mega. 'I left the settings like that and kept taking pictures.' :D it worked well.

The night was very cold (below zero, the car was frozen).

The next day we got up early to take pictures of the sunrise. Unfortunately, the sun didn't come over the mountain quickly enough and we couldn't really photograph it. After breakfast, we hiked to a waterfall that is only accessible from this campsite.

It was a beautiful experience. ;)
