Today we finally started. We picked up our camper! Even an hour earlier than planned, because we couldn't wait any longer! After we picked up the camper and our luggage from the hotel, we went to Cairns Center for a big shopping trip that felt like half a day.
With everything somewhat poorly packed, we were ready to go.
What caught our attention first (we already knew about driving on the left side) was that there were signs everywhere along the roadside. Which is not unusual. However, they were not just normal road signs like speed limits or yield signs. 'STOP. REVIVE. SURVIVE.' 'SERVIVE. TAKE A REST AND REFRESH.' 'DRIVER REVIVER. FREE ☕ AHEAD.' We immediately took advantage of 'FREE ☕ AHEAD.' With an older, very nice man, we actually got 2 coffees for a small donation. Feel 'revived' again, we continued on our way to our planned campground in Taylors Beach.
After everything was properly packed and the camper was clean, we went to the camp kitchen to cook ourselves. For a change, it wasn't burgers like usual.
Tomorrow we're going to the jourama falls. Time for a little splash:)
