Unbelievable but true and suddenly two months have passed and we have arrived at our final stop. After reluctantly returning Willi after 26 days, it was now time to explore the city using public transportation. Auckland is built on 50 volcanoes, making its cityscape very interesting. Some volcanic cones were removed to build the city on top, while others were incorporated into the city. This results in several viewpoints from which you can see the city from different angles. We visited the Mount Eden volcano, which is closest to the city center, and the Mount Victoria volcano, which can be reached by ferry. These volcanoes are not higher than 250 meters and are beautifully covered in vegetation.

Then we visited a museum that had its own Maori exhibition. There were various tools, ships, and symbolic figures on display. As a final treat, we had a Maori performance, where we were also presented with the HAKA chant.

Other than that, we enjoyed Auckland and let our souls relax. :)
