Manaus - Amazonas

Ku kandziyisiwile: 27.09.2016

After 4 days in the big City Rio, we needed to go back to the Nature. What is better than the Amazon. We flyed to Manaus, in the middle of the Amazon. There we drove with a Boot to a famous River crossing. Two rivers run Ways of Kilometers beside and don't mix their colours. But 40 km from Manaus, they mix their colours, and build the Amazon River. The Rio Negro (blue) and the Rio Solimoes (Brown). It a naturel, chemical Reaction, nice to see. After we walked thru the City, found a Farmers market and saw the colorful opra. The Rest of this day we spend at our own Pool at the Hostel.

The next day started early. We were picked up at 8:00 o'clock for the 2 day Amazon Tour.

We drove 2 1/2 h with a litte Cruise Boot to a smalltalk Island. The Cruise was Perfect for our hammocks. Sun, Wind and Saltbreez gets a Perfect sleep. 😊

When we arrived the Lodge we got Lunch. Fish, eggs, Salat & tabioka.

At 15:00 o'clock the activitys began. First fishing Piranhas. There we had to Drive thrugh dicket and mire. On the Way we saw some Pink Dolphins. Their are settled here for 10 years. To caught a Piranhas is not so easy as we thought. They are very smart and fast, so you have to bring Time and a calm Hand. Both we don't have 😬. 1 1/2 Hour later Klara & George cought one, Luci got nothing. The Next Point: watch the Sunset in the River. The Sun goes really fast down, so we enjoyed the purple and rosa clouds in the sky. Also a Storm poped up at the other Side, so we went back at the Lodge before it gets worther.

On the way back, our Guide tried to caught an Alligator, but with the Storm is was very hard to find the eyes in the Durk. At least he found a Baby Alligator.

Back we got Dinner and enjoyed the evening with some beers.

The Second day Starts also very early. At 8:00 wenn drove to a Native Tribe. There you can buy handmade Souvenirs. Also they showed us there Culture. They played Music, danced and told is about their Ceremonys. After we hiked 3 h through the rainforest. Our Guide told us to every tree and plant their Names and what the natives built with them. It was very interesting. Than it Starts to rain for like 10 minutes. We all got wet, but the Sun came out and we had time to dry all.

At 16:00 o'clock our Amazon Adventure was over, we drove back to Manaus by Car.

Best regards Klara & Luci & Georg
