Santa Teresa 🌸

So it's been a while and we are reminiscing about our last trip to Costa Rica.

Santa Teresa is a small surfer town on the Atlantic coast and has delicious restaurants. πŸπŸ„β€β™‚οΈ Perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying great food. β˜€οΈπŸ˜ŽπŸ€πŸ˜

Our accommodation was nestled under a big tree and we could enjoy some tasty tapas in the green surroundings. πŸŒ³πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜‰

However, one evening it started raining and the whole village experienced a power outage. βš‘οΈπŸ™ˆ No lights, no food! πŸ˜±πŸ˜”

The chef assured us that this happens often. When it rains for a long time, there can be a power outage for up to 3 days. πŸ™ˆπŸ˜… Hmm... well, we can handle that... πŸ€” In the meantime, we enjoyed our glass of wine by candlelight. πŸ·πŸ•―πŸ’‘ Once the power was restored, we could finally try the tapas. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€—

We also took a trip to Montezuma. We walked along a beautiful river to a waterfall. πŸŽ’πŸ˜Ž It was hidden and refreshingly cool. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜…

We also explored Santa Teresa by 🚲 and enjoyed the sun on the beach. β˜€οΈπŸπŸ˜Ž

Well, that's it... our 4-month journey went by so quickly. 😜 But we are really looking forward to seeing and hearing what our friends and family have been up to during this time... πŸ˜ƒ

South America has been incredibly impressive and diverse. We have seen and experienced so many different things. ❀️

One of the highlights was definitely the Galapagos Islands, with their various unique animals. πŸ‘πŸ πŸ¦ˆπŸ¦€πŸ’πŸ¦…πŸ¦ŽπŸ˜

Another highlight was the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. β›° With the hike up to 4600 m above sea level, pushing us to our limits. πŸ”

And of course, protecting the sea turtles at Gandoca was also an incredible experience. 🐒❀️ We were able to observe so many animals and discovered many plants that we had never seen before. πŸ•·πŸπŸ’πŸŒ±πŸŒΈ

Well, we are already thinking about our next adventure... πŸ˜‰
