Good day to all of you ☺️

Today we had two boat dives on the program, which we were really looking forward to!

We woke up, packed everything, got ready, and off we went ☺️

The meeting point was at the "Tortugas Beach Bar", where the dive center was also located. Unusually, we were there way too early, but only because we wanted to have something to eat. First, we checked in at the dive center and immediately met our divemaster (guide). He was incredibly friendly and very uncomplicated. Then came the jackpot: we were the only guests for this tour! Fantastic, it couldn't have been any better! We were asked what we would like to see, and the dive sites were selected according to our preferences. We said it would be great to see rays, turtles, and possibly sharks. Our guide explained that there is a dive site where you can encounter these animals - but of course without any guarantee. We decided to give it a try and maybe we would be lucky.

After everything was discussed, we were taken to a table immediately. The bar/restaurant was so beautiful! We were served a delicious meal and as soon as we were finished, we could already go on the boat. Everything was prepared on the boat. Our equipment was put together and the rest was nicely prepared. That was really great service!

After just 15 minutes of driving, we received the signal to get ready. Put on the wetsuit, fins, and even got help with the BCD. When we were ready, it was time to jump in, do a quick check, and dive down!

As we descended, we practically landed in front of a beautiful, large ray! That was a dream start! In total, during the first dive, we saw three rays, a turtle, and a pretty big pufferfish! All of this next to a really beautiful, colorful reef with many other fish.

After about an hour, we surfaced and were a bit cold ☺️

Even though the water here has a pleasant temperature, you still cool down a lot.

We took about an hour break at the surface and had interesting conversations with our guide during that time.

Then we went back into the water. During the second dive, we saw a lovely, large turtle, a huge moray eel, and two more rays ☺️

Very satisfied, we returned to land and made our way to our accommodation.

Sorting out the photos took quite a while, but there are some really great ones 😊

Now we're getting ready for our New Year's Eve celebration ☺️

We wish you all a happy new year and a great start to the new year!

See you tomorrow 🥳
