First things first, so you don't have to worry anymore: Yes, Martin's cap has found its way back to its owner. Hours of uncertainty are now over.

This morning we walk to the bus terminal to pick up the cap. We fight our way through the extremely chaotic Phnom Penh traffic without a cap for 20 minutes under over 30°C and bright sunshine. Once we arrive at our destination, our contact quickly understands what it's about and we actually get the missing and undamaged, yet still sweaty cap. There is a sign of unknown content on the cap.

On the way back, we stop at the Wat Phnom temple, which is located in the middle of a roundabout. Foreigners naturally have to pay an admission fee. The temple with its surrounding park is a kind of green oasis in the midst of the bustling traffic and is worth a visit. Here we also treat ourselves to a cool refreshment drink.

Our next destination is the Royal Palace, about 2 km away. However, we don't feel like walking through the traffic anymore, so we order a tuk-tuk for $2. Apparently, we are the only people walking in the city. As we quickly find out, the Royal Palace is currently being renovated, so there is unfortunately nothing to see there. However, the way back from the promenade is also very nice and leads along the Tonle Sap and its confluence with the Mekong.

In the late afternoon, we arrive back at the hostel as we still need to book the trip for tomorrow and the accommodations. However, during our brainstorming session we decide against yesterday's plan. We decide to take a different route on our way to the island of Phu Quoc. The new route will take us to the small town of Kampot on the southeastern coast of Cambodia for two nights, and to the fishing village of Kep for five nights. From there, we will finally continue to Vietnam.

After everything is booked, the time is already quite late and we call it a day.

Sehr gut 😍
